Amazon’s Kindle Bookstore is Chasing Eden to Number One
June 19, 2011
Sharon Linnéa and co-author B.K. Sherer are enjoying the astonishing success that their novel, Chasing Eden, is currently seeing in Amazon’s Kindle Bookstore. Chasing Eden, the first novel in the gripping Eden Thrillers series, was released by Arundel Publishing as an eBook on Monday afternoon. Chasing Eden has been offered free this week through Amazon, as a special promotion presented by Arundel Publishing which will last only until Monday, June 20th. Within the first 24 hours of its release, Chasing Eden soared up through the free eBook rankings on Amazon to number one. As of Wednesday afternoon, Chasing Eden was ranked #1 in free eBooks, #1 in free Action and Adventure eBooks and #1 in free Thriller eBooks, worldwide. More than 17,000 copies of the book were downloaded within a 24-hour period.
Chasing Eden follows the compelling adventures of U.S. Army (Maj.) Chaplain Jaime Richards. After receiving an urgent request from her civilian friend, Adara, amidst a raging sandstorm in modern-day Southern Iraq, Richards finds herself on a thrilling quest alongside Adara’s mysterious brother. While the two travel throughout Ur, Babylon, Baghdad and Iraq, Richards quickly realizes that she is on a much larger mission: one that may hold the future of the world in the balance. Throughout the second and third titles in the series, Beyond Eden and Treasure of Eden, Richards continues her travels as she learns ancient secrets and discovers hidden treasures.
Beyond Eden and Treasure of Eden became available on Amazon on Friday, and the entire series will soon be available on BarnesandNoble.com in the Nook Bookstore, Kobo.com, Smashwords.com and in the Apple iBookstore in the upcoming weeks. Arundel Publishing is confident that the second two titles in the series will see the same positive response from eBook readers and reviewers, especially as they are offered at the special price of $2.99.
Cherry Adair, New York Times bestselling author, calls Chasing Eden “unique, provocative and engrossing.” The novel has also been called “a thrill-a-minute read” and “an absolute page-turner” by New York Times bestselling author Christina Dodd. Amazon readers, too, praise Chasing Eden. They have called it an “edge-of-your-seat adventure,” a “must read” and “the can’t-put-down thriller of the summer.”
When asked about the book’s sudden and dramatic rise through the Amazon rankings, author Sharon Linnéa said, “It was totally unexpected, but I believe so much in the book and my co-author, Army Chaplain B.K. Sherer, that I am very pleased that the book and the characters now have an e-life.” She credits the work of her new publisher, Arundel Publishing, for the speed at which Chasing Eden has risen to the top of the Amazon lists.
Arundel Publishing is an emerging, independent publishing company owned and operated locally in Warwick, New York by publishing professionals who are themselves avid readers and writers who share a love of literature. All of the titles available through Arundel deal with the theme that “life is an adventure,” and the company strives to work, as well as live, by that precept.
When asked about the recent success of Chasing Eden and the anticipated success of the entire Eden Thriller series, a representative from Arundel said, “It is truly a wonderful series that everyone at Arundel Publishing is very excited to be launching as eBooks, and we are equally excited to announce that we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project.”
Proclaimed as a page-turning thriller, Chasing Eden will keep you at the edge of your seat and leave you eager to pick up Beyond Eden and Treasure of Eden. Truly, the partnership of Sharon Linnéa and B.K Sherer with Arundel Publishing has proven that, with a little imagination, a lot of hard work, and a magnificent story to tell, it doesn't take long to achieve success.
